Membership

BAAVA membership is renewed annually and is currently open to all eligible schools across Victoria, as well as to schools across Australia that are willing to travel to Melbourne for the examinations. At present, BAAVA membership and examination registration apply to Bharathanatyam examinations.

Schools are required to register with the BAAVA Board each year in order for their students to be considered eligible to sit the examinations. Once a school’s registration has been completed and approved, teachers will be provided with the BAAVA examination syllabus, enabling students to prepare for examinations in the following year.

As part of the registration process, a number of required forms must be submitted. Once all completed forms have been received, the registration process is generally initiated and finalised within 2 to 3 weeks.

Our fee reflects the significant and ongoing rise in the costs of delivering Theory assessments as an organisation. Even so, BAAVA remains reasonably priced when compared with other awarding organisations, and in many cases is considerably more affordable. Our goal is always to keep examinations as accessible as possible, while continuing to provide strong standards, reliable processes, and outstanding support to applicants participating in BAAVA Examination Day.
