BAAVA Examinations

BAAVA endeavours to conduct formal Bharatanatyam examinations in Melbourne annually.

Students learning Bharatanatyam under teachers registered with BAAVA are eligible to appear for the BAAVA Dance Examinations.

These examinations are conducted in accordance with the syllabus designed, reviewed, and agreed upon collectively by the registered teachers of BAAVA, while also drawing guidance and inspiration from established Bharatanatyam institutions and educators across Australia and overseas.

Students are assessed by experienced Bharatanatyam practitioners who have either undertaken formal education in Bharatanatyam through recognised universities and institutions and/or have demonstrated excellence in teaching and managing established dance schools.

The examinations are independently administered and supervised by a designated examination team responsible for coordinating with the examiners, collating assessment scores, and publishing the results to the respective teachers.
